Active substance: azithromycin - 250 mg

Indications: Infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to azithromycin:

              - Infections of ENT organs (bacterial pharyngitis / tonsillitis, sinusitis, middle otitis media);

              - Infections of the respiratory tract (bacterial bronchitis, hospitalized pneumonia);

           - Skin and soft tissue infections: migratory erythema (an initial stage of Lyme disease), bashiha, impetigo, secondary pyodermatosis, acne vulgaris (acne common) of moderate severity;

             - Sexually transmitted infections: uncomplicated genital infections caused by Chlamydia trachomatis.

Administration:  

Adults and children aged 12 years and over with a body weight ≥45 kg:

             - With infections of ENT organs, respiratory tract, skin and soft tissues (except for chronic migratory erythema), the total dose of azithromycin is 1500 mg (500 mg 1 time per day). Duration of treatment is 3 days.

              - When migrating erythema the total dose of azithromycin is 3 g, which should be taken according to the following scheme: 1000 mg on the first day, and then - 500 mg 1 time per day during

5 days.

               - For sexually transmitted infections, the recommended dose of azithromycin is 1000 mg once.

Children aged 3-12 years with a body weight <45 kg:

             - When infections of ENT organs, respiratory tract, skin and soft tissues (except for chronic migratory erythema) azithromycin is used at the rate of 10 mg / kg body weight 1 time per day for 3 days (the total dose of azithromycin is 30 mg / kg).
